Politische Kommunikation der österreichischen Parteien auf Web 2.0

Das Ziel der Arbeit ist es, die Möglichkeiten des Web 2.0 für die politischen Parteien in Österreich zu entdecken und zu analysieren Der erste Teil der Arbeit analysiert die Kommunikationskanäle der Politik in Österreich. Mit Hilfe der Theorie der deliberativen Demokratie möchte ich auf einige strukturellen Nachteile der etablierten Kanäle in der politischen Kommunikation hinweisen. Die Theorie wird auf ihre Kernelemente reduziert, und dadurch wird die Kommunkation auf Facebook auf deliberative Aspekte untersucht. Die empirische Prüfung ist auf den Seiten der österreichischen politischen Parteien auf Facebook basiert. Ich versuchte einen Überblick über die Möglichkeiten auf Web 2.0 für die Politik zu bieten. Die Grundannahme ist dass Interessensaggregation und Bürgerbeteiligung mehr Chance haben wenn die Politik durch Web 2.0 kommuniziert. Wie diese genutzt werden und welche Möglichkeiten noch nicht ausgeschöpft wurden, werden aus einem deliberativen Blickwinkel erläutert.The thesis acknowledges the rise of social networks in the Internet, which are already being used as a Marketing tool. The aim of the paper is to discover and analyse the possibilities of web 2.0 for political parties in Austria. The First part of the Paper analyses the Communication Channels of Politics in Austria. Using the theory of deliberative Democracy I point out some structural drawbacks of established channels in the political communication. Reducing the Theory to its core, I test the communication on Facebook.com from a deliberative point of view. The empirical test is based on the pages of the Austrian political parties on Facebook. I attend to give an overview on the possibilities offered by web 2.0 for politics. How voter-involvement could be easily aggregated for political support, how Politicians could gather more support for the issues they promote, and how the citizens can form action coalitions… The empirical part is a map of the status-quo in Austria, also including some suggestions and a precautious forecast regarding the use of web 2.0 in Politics
