Transforming History Learning: Educational Innovation for Teaching the High and Late Middle Ages to Seventh-Grade Students Using Adapted Technologies

Abstract

Este proyecto representa un aporte significativo a la innovación educativa, al proponer una estrategia didáctica que integra el uso de tecnologías contextualizadas en la enseñanza de contenidos históricos en un entorno rural, en lugar de replicar modelos pedagógicos tradicionales centrados en la transmisión de información y la copia de contenidos, esta propuesta busca transformar las prácticas de aula mediante el uso de herramientas tecnológicas accesibles, motivadoras y alineadas con las condiciones reales del contexto escolar. La innovación no radica únicamente en el uso de TIC, sino en la manera en que estas se articulan con una didáctica activa, participativa y centrada en los intereses y necesidades de los estudiantes. A través del diseño de secuencias didácticas mediadas por recursos como videos educativos, juegos digitales, mapas interactivos y plataformas visuales, el proyecto rompe con la lógica de clases repetitivas y expositivas, y promueve ambientes de aprendizaje más dinámicos, inclusivos y significativos. Además, este proyecto responde al llamado de las políticas educativas actuales que promueven la equidad, la contextualización y el cierre de brechas entre el campo y la ciudad. Al diseñarse específicamente para una institución rural con limitaciones tecnológicas, demuestra que la innovación también puede surgir desde la sencillez, siempre que se fundamente en una lectura crítica del contexto y en el compromiso por mejorar la calidad educativa desde lo local. In addition, this project responds to the current educational policies' call for promoting equity, contextualization, and closing the gaps between rural and urban areas.
