Pasolini: do caráter político-institucional da violência

Abstract

This article aims to analyze some productions from the multiple works of the Italian filmmaker and writer Pier Paolo Pasolini (1922-1975), whose works have always been a reflection of his strong stance on the issues of his time. Above all, we seek to highlight how the artist makes explicit in his creations the political-institutional nature of the violence (Teixeira, 2020), sometimes subtle, that annihilate our most fundamental civil rights, such as the right to free thought and democracy. Through vehement criticisms of bourgeois society and the so-called “demo-Christian” capitalism, Pasolini highlights all the hypocrisy and false moralism that constitute this society. Therefore, some examples of the different genres in which the artist produced (cinema, literature, etc.) are listed, to highlight how Pasolini expresses himself critically, as well as what we can infer from his vast work and take as a motto for ethical and political action in artistic productions.Este artigo visa analisar algumas produções da obra múltipla do cineasta e escritor italiano Pier Paolo Pasolini (1922-1975), cujos trabalhos sempre foram um reflexo de seu contundente posicionamento frente às questões do seu tempo. Sobretudo, busca-se evidenciar como o artista deixa explícito em suas criações o caráter político-institucional das violências (Teixeira, 2020), por vezes sutis, que aniquilam os nossos direitos civis mais fundamentais como, por exemplo, o direito ao livre pensar e à democracia. Através de críticas veementes à sociedade burguesa e ao denominado capitalismo “democristão”, Pasolini ressalta toda a hipocrisia e o falso moralismo que constituem esta sociedade. São elencados, portanto, alguns exemplos dos diversos gêneros nos quais o artista produziu (cinema, literatura, etc.), para salientar de que modo Pasolini se manifesta criticamente, bem como o que podemos depreender de sua vasta obra, a fim de tomarmos como mote de atuação ética e política na realização artística.
