Entrevista a la Dra. Anna Barrera Vivero, Directora de programas Fundación Internacional Unión Europea-América Latina y el Caribe (Fundación EU-LACA)

Abstract

Dr. Anna Barrera is the Program Director of the European Union-Latin America and the Caribbean International Foundation (EU-LAC Foundation). In addition to overseeing the smooth implementation of the organization's programs, she is responsible for generating knowledge on bi-regional relations through dialogue, analysis, and publications. She also supports activities related to multilateralism, democracy, climate and the environment, and gender equality, within the framework of the EU-LAC International Women's Network. Previously, she gained extensive professional experience in academia, development cooperation, and international relations at institutions such as UN Women and UNDP, Bucerius Law School, Episcopal Action Advent, and the GLS Future Foundation for Development. Anna Barrera holds a degree in political science and public law from the Free University of Berlin. During her doctoral studies in Political Science at the University of Hamburg and the German Institute for Global and Area Studies (GIGA), she specialized in human rights, indigenous peoples, legal pluralism, and gender relations in the Andean region. She recently completed an Executive MBA at Vlerick Business School, Belgium.    La Dra. Además de supervisar la implementación fluida de los programas de la organización, es responsable del ámbito de la generación de conocimiento sobre las relaciones birregionales a través de diálogos, análisis y publicaciones, y apoya la realización de actividades en los ámbitos del multilateralismo, la democracia, el clima y el medio ambiente y la igualdad de género, en el contexto de la Red Internacional de Mujeres EU-LAC.     Anteriormente, adquirió una amplia experiencia profesional en el ámbito científico, la cooperación al desarrollo y las relaciones internacionales en instituciones como ONU Mujeres y PNUD, Bucerius Law School, Episcopal Action Adveniat, y GLS Future Foundation for Development.       Anna Barrera tiene formación académica en ciencias políticas y derecho público por la Universidad Libre de Berlín. Durante su doctorado en Ciencias Políticas en la Universidad de Hamburgo y el German Institute for Global and Area Studies (GIGA), se especializó en derechos humanos, pueblos indígenas, pluralismo jurídico y relaciones de género en la región andina. Recientemente ha completado un MBA ejecutivo en la Vlerick Business School, Bélgica.  &nbsp
