VOZES DA DIVERSIDADE NEUROCOGNITIVA: UMA PESQUISA DE CAMPO COM ALUNOS NEURODIVERGENTES NO ENSINO SUPERIOR

Abstract

Abstract: This study investigated the perspective of neurodivergent students in higher education institutions. Through an online questionnaire, perceptions about resources, support, challenges, and experiences were collected. The results encompass diverse views on the support offered by universities, highlighting strengths and gaps. The university\u27s understanding of students\u27 needs also varied. Challenges faced during remote learning and social/emotional support during isolation were explored. To underpin the discussions raised in this research, contributions from theorists Mantoan (2015), Mazzotta (2002), and Freire (1996, 2001) were considered. The study contributes to the discussion on inclusion in higher education, emphasizing the importance of giving voice to neurodivergent students for a more inclusive environment. Suggestions for future research are also presented.   Keywords: Inclusive education; inclusion in educational settings; neurodiversity;Resumo: Este estudo investigou a perspectiva de alunos neurodivergentes em instituições de ensino superior. Por meio de um questionário online, foram coletadas percepções sobre recursos, suporte, desafios e experiências. Os resultados abrangem visões diversas sobre o suporte oferecido pelas universidades, destacando pontos fortes e lacunas. A compreensão das necessidades dos alunos pela universidade também variou. Os desafios enfrentados durante o ensino remoto e o apoio social/emocional durante o isolamento foram explorados.Para fundamentar as discussões suscitadas nesta pesquisa, contamos com a contribuição dos teóricos Mantoan(2015), Mazzotta(2002), Freire(1996, 2001) O estudo contribui para a discussão sobre inclusão no ensino superior, enfatizando a importância de dar voz aos alunos neurodivergentes para um ambiente mais inclusivo.
