Self-esteem and social skills in secondary school students at the Belén de Osma y Pardo Public Educational Institution in Andahuaylas, 2025

Abstract

El presente trabajo, se llevó a cabo con el objetivo de demostrar la “relación entre la autoestima y las habilidades” sociales en estudiantes “de secundaria de la institución educativa pública” Belén de Osma y Pardo Andahuaylas, 2025, para ello se hiso uso de una metodología cuantitativa, de diseño no experimental descriptivo correlacional, en una muestra de 268 estudiantes de nivel secundaria, a quienes se les aplicó la escala de autoestima y el cuestionario de habilidades sociales instrumentos que fueron validados mediante juicio de expertos, quienes otorgaron su veredicto indicando su aplicabilidad, asimismo, cuentan con evidencias claras de fiabilidad, entre los resultados se encontró que, en la autoestima existía una predominancia del nivel medio en un 45.9% y en referencia a las habilidades sociales se observa una predominancia del nivel medio con un 54.1%. Se concluye que, la “relación entre las variables autoestima y habilidades sociales” en los “estudiantes de secundaria de la Institución Educativa pública” Belén de Osma y Pardo Andahuaylas, 2025, con un Rho= 0,356, es positiva baja, asimismo esta es estadísticamente significativa con un p-valor = 0,000 (p< 0,05).This work was carried out with the objective of demonstrating the relationship between self-esteem and social skills in high school students of the public educational institution Belén de Osma y Pardo Andahuaylas, 2025, for this purpose a quantitative methodology was used, with a non-experimental descriptive correlational design, in a sample of 268 high school students, to whom the self-esteem scale and the social skills questionnaire were applied, instruments that were validated by expert judgment, who gave their verdict indicating their applicability, likewise, they have clear evidence of reliability, among the results it was found that, in self-esteem there was a predominance of in 45.9% and in reference to social skills a predominance of the middle level is observed with 54.1%. It is concluded that the relationship between the variables self-esteem and social skills in secondary school students at the Belén de Osma y Pardo Andahuaylas Public School, 2025, with a Rho = 0.356, is direct and statistically significant with a p= 0.001 (p< 0.05).Innovación en salud integral y gestión sanitaria
