Abstract

The purpose of the considerations contained in this article, is to analyse the basic assumptions and evolution of the European People's Party (EPP) position on climate protection issues and energy policy and transition, in the light of the party's 2019 and 2024 election manifestos. The juxtaposition of the content of the election manifestos provides an opportunity to answer the question with which energy and climate policy agenda the EPP enters the new term of the European Parliament.Celem rozważań zawartych w niniejszym artykule, jest analiza podstawowych założeń i ewolucji stanowiska Europejskiej Partii Ludowej - EPL (European People’s Party - EPP) w zakresie zagadnień dotyczących ochrony klimatu oraz polityki i transformacji energetycznej, w świetle jej manifestów wyborczych z lat 2019 i 2024. Zestawienie treści manifestów stwarza okazję do odpowiedzi na pytanie, z jakim programem polityki energetycznej i klimatycznej EPL wchodzi w nową kadencję Parlamentu Europejskiego
