REPRESENTAÇÕES SOCIAIS E AS CONCEPÇÕES EPISTEMOLÓGICAS DE LICENCIANDOS EM FÍSICA: IMPLICAÇÕES PARA A FORMAÇÃO DOCENTE

Abstract

Abstract In This study investigates the Social Representations (SR) and epistemological conceptions of undergraduate Physics students in training, focusing on their conceptions about science. The objective is to analyze what are the SR of future teachers in relation to the conceptions of the Epistemology of Science, aiming to contribute to the training of teachers with a critical and reflective understanding. The methodology, of a qualitative nature, used interviews in focus groups in a public institution in Paraná, with data analyzed through the Theory of Social Representations. The results indicate that, throughout their training, undergraduate students develop a more critical view of the relationship between science and society, which can positively influence their pedagogical practices. It isconcluded that reflection on these representations is relevant for the training of teachers who are better prepared for the challenges of teaching Physics, promoting a more contextualized and meaningful scientific education. Keywords: Teacher Training; Science Teaching; Focus Group.  O presente estudo investiga as Representações Sociais (RS) e as concepções epistemológicas de licenciandos em Física em formação, focando em suas concepções sobre a ciência. O objetivo é analisar quais são as RS dos futuros docentes em relação às concepções da epistemologia da ciência, visando contribuir para a formação de professores com uma compreensão crítica e reflexiva. A metodologia, de natureza qualitativa, utilizou entrevistas em grupos focais em uma instituição pública do Paraná. Os dados foram analisados por meio da Teoria das Representações Sociais. Os resultados indicam que, ao longo da formação, os licenciandos desenvolvem uma visão mais crítica sobre a relação entre ciência e sociedade, o que pode influenciar positivamente suas práticas pedagógicas. Conclui-se que a reflexão sobre essas representações e concepções é relevante para a formação de docentes mais preparados para os desafios do ensino de Física.
