Estrategia didáctica para mejorar el desempeño de los estudiantes del bachillerato técnico

Abstract

Introduction: among the didactic strategies used in active methodologies is the flipped classroom. Objective: the objective of this research was the application of this didactic strategy to improve the performance of students at the technical high school of the General Medardo Alfaro Educational Unit. Methodology: a quasi-experimental design was used using two groups: a control group, with the conditions of the traditional educational model, and an experimental one, in which the strategy was applied. The population consisted of 90 students and the randomly selected sample was 40 third-year students of the technical baccalaureate. Among the methods for data collection, continuous evaluations were applied to measure school performance, a pre-test and a post-test to students. In addition, the survey of students and the interview of teachers of the institution were used to collect qualitative data about the perception of the methodology implemented. For the processing of the data, the percentage analysis of the results obtained with the application of the instruments was applied as a statistical method. Results: as a result, the members of the experimental group obtained an improvement in their performance, that is, they significantly understood the basic concepts and applied them in practice. At the same time, motivation, the immediate response of participatory activities and their performance improved. Conclusion: the implementation of the flipped classroom in the technical high school of the "General Medardo Alfaro" Educational Unit improved student performance, favoring content comprehension, motivation and meaningful learning. However, challenges such as unequal access to technological resources and teacher resistance were identified, which require training and solutions for a more inclusive environment. Objetivo: el objetivo de esta investigación fue la aplicación de esta estrategia didáctica para mejorar el desempeño de los estudiantes del bachillerato técnico de la Unidad Educativa General Medardo Alfaro. Metodología: se empleó un diseño cuasi-experimental mediante dos grupos: uno control, con las condiciones del modelo educativo tradicional y otro experimental, en el que se aplicó la estrategia. La población la integraron 90 estudiantes y la muestra seleccionada aleatoriamente fue de 40 estudiantes de tercer año del bachillerato técnico. Entre los métodos para la recolección de datos, se aplicaron evaluaciones continuas para medir el desempeño escolar, un pre test y un post test a los estudiantes. Además, se empleó la encuesta a estudiantes y la entrevista a docentes de la institución para recoger datos cualitativos acerca de la percepción de la metodología implementada. Para el procesamiento de los datos, se aplicó como método estadístico, el análisis porcentual en los resultados obtenidos con la aplicación de los instrumentos. Resultados: como resultado los integrantes del grupo experimental obtuvieron una mejora en su desempeño, es decir comprendieron significativamente los conceptos básicos y los aplicaron en la práctica. Al mismo tiempo, mejoró la motivación, la respuesta inmediata de las actividades participativas y su desempeño. Conclusión: la implementación del aula invertida en el bachillerato técnico de la Unidad Educativa "General Medardo Alfaro" mejoró el desempeño estudiantil, favoreciendo la comprensión de contenidos, la motivación y el aprendizaje significativo. No obstante, se identificaron desafíos como el acceso desigual a recursos tecnológicos y la resistencia docente, que requieren capacitación y soluciones para un entorno más inclusivo.
