Similes and metaphors in seasonal poems

Abstract

"Mevsim Konulu Şiirlerde Teşbih ve Mecazlar", XIII-XX. yüzyıllar arasında yaşamış şairlerinin şiirlerinin incelenmesiyle oluşturulmuş bir çalışmadır. Çalışma, "Giriş" ile "Mevsim Konulu Şiirler", "Teşbihler" ve "Mecazlar" olmak üzere üç bölüm ve "Sonuç"tan oluşmaktadır. Tezin "Giriş" başlığı altında araştırmanın konusu, amacı, önemi ve yönteminden bahsedilmiş; teşbih ve mecazların belâgat içerisindeki yeri ve önemine değinilerek anlatılan teorik bilgiler, mevsim konulu şiirlerden alınan beyitlerle örneklendirilmiştir. "Mevsim Konulu Şiirler" başlıklı birinci bölümde incelenen şiirlerden hareketle bahâriyye, şitâ'iyye, hazâniyye ve temmûziyyelerin özelliklerine değinilmiştir. Tezin "Teşbihler" başlıklı ikinci bölümü ve "Mecazlar" başlıklı üçüncü bölümü, çalışmamızın inceleme kısımlarını oluşturmaktadır. Bu bölümlerde mevsim konulu şiirler, "Giriş" başlığı altında ele alınan teşbih, istiâre, mecaz-ı mürsel ve kinâye bahisleri doğrultusunda tasnif edilmiştir. "Sonuç" başlığı altında mevsim konulu şiirlerin yüzyıllara, şairlere ve nazım biçimlerine göre dağılımı hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. Bu şiirlerde, teşbih ve mecazların nasıl kullanıldığı ve hangi kavramlar etrafında yoğunlaştığı ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır."Similes and Metaphors in Seasonal Poems" is a study created by analyzing the poems of poets who lived between 13th-20th centuries. The study consists of "Introduction" and three parts: "Seasonal Themed Poems", "Similes" and "Metaphors" and "Conclusion". Under the title "Introduction" of the thesis, the subject, purpose, importance and method of the research are mentioned; theoretical information is explained by referring the place and importance of similes and metaphors in rhetoric and is exemplified with couplets taken from poems about the season. In the first section titled "Seasonal Themed Poems", the characteristics of bahâriyye, şitâ'iyye, hazâniyye and temmûziyye are mentioned based on the poems analyzed. The second part of the thesis titled "Similes" and the third part titled "Metaphors" constitute the analysis parts of our study. In these sections, seasonal themed poems are classified in line with simile, metaphor, metonymy, and allegory which are discussed under the title of "Introduction". Under the title "Conclusion", is informed about the distribution of season-themed poems according to centuries, poets and verse forms.
