Stalno izboljševanje skladiščnih procesov je ključno za učinkovito delovanje podjetja, saj neposredno vpliva na stroške, časovne roke ter zadovoljstvo strank. V diplomskem delu smo analizirali uvedbo sistema črtne kode v izbranem podjetju, s ciljem izboljšanja upravljanja zalog ter povečanja natančnosti in sledljivosti skladiščnih operacij. Na podlagi analize obstoječega stanja smo identificirali ključne pomanjkljivosti trenutnih postopkov naročanja, prevzema, skladiščenja in izdaje materiala, ki so zajemali predvsem visoko stopnjo ročnega dela, dolge čase izvedbe in možnost napak. Predlagali smo uvedbo sistema črtne kode kot rešitev, ki bi omogočila višjo stopnjo avtomatizacije procesov, hitrejše in bolj zanesljivo evidentiranje artiklov ter boljše povezovanje s programsko opremo za vodenje zalog. Analiza predloga je pokazala, da bi uvedba črtne kode zmanjšala število napak, skrajšala čas izvedbe operacij in omogočila sprotno ažuriranje zalog. Za uspešno izvedbo bi bilo ključno dobro načrtovanje, tehnična prilagoditev opreme in programske podpore ter usposabljanje zaposlenih. Med možnostmi nadaljnjega razvoja smo predvideli uvajanje mobilnih aplikacij za delo v skladišču in uvedbo avtomatizirane inventure.Continuous improvement of warehouse processes is key to the efficient operation of a company, as it directly affects costs, deadlines and customer satisfaction. This diploma thesis analyses the introduction of a barcode system in a selected company, with the aim of improving inventory management as well as increasing the accuracy and traceability of warehouse operations. Based on the analysis of the existing situation, we have identified key shortcomings of the current procedures for ordering, receiving, storing and issuing materials, which mainly included a high level of manual work, long execution times and the possibility of errors. The implementation of a barcode system has been proposed as a solution to a higher level of process automation, faster and more reliable recording of items and better integration with inventory management software. The analysis of the proposal showed that the implementation of the barcode system would reduce errors, shorten the time for performing operations and enable real-time updating of inventories. Here, good planning, technical adaptation of equipment and software support as well as employee training would be essential for successful implementation of the proposed solution. Among the possibilities for further development, the introduction of mobile applications for warehouse work and the introduction of automated inventory have been envisaged
