Os origens da justiça em Hume e Rawls: A afetividade como impulso originário: la afectividad como impulso originario

Abstract

The aim of this article is to reflect on the relationship between the affective dimension and the origins of justice in the theories of Hume and Rawls. While the former postulated the feeling of humanity in his Research on the principles of morals, Rawls suggested the sense of justice when explaining this tendency in the third part of the Theory of Justice. Based on these considerations, in this work the affective dimension will be understood as an original impulse that justifies the tendency of human beings to organize and live in society. Such analysis seeks to establish the continuities and ruptures between the authors, as well as to investigate the influences that Hume’s philosophy has on the Rawlsian proposal.El objetivo del presente artículo es reflexionar sobre la relación entre la dimensión afectiva y los orígenes de la justicia en las teorías de Hume y Rawls. Mientras el primero postuló el sentimiento de humanidad (humanity) en su Investigación sobre los principios de la moral, Rawls sugirió el sentido de justicia (sense of justice) a la hora de explicar esta tendencia en la tercera parte de la Teoría de la Justicia. Con base en estas consideraciones, se entenderá en este trabajo a la dimensión afectiva como un impulso originario que justifica la tendencia de los seres humanos a organizarse y vivir en sociedad. Tal análisis busca establecer cuáles son las continuidades y rupturas entre los autores, así como también indagar en las influencias que la filosofía de Hume tiene en la propuesta rawlsiana.O objetivo deste artigo é refletir sobre a relação entre a dimensão afetiva e as origens da justiça nas teorias de Hume e Rawls. Enquanto o primeiro postulou o sentimento de humanidade (humanidade) em sua Investigação dos princípios da moral, Rawls sugeriu o sentido de justiça (senso de justiça) ao explicar essa tendência na terceira parte da Teoria da justiça. Com base nessas considerações, neste trabalho a dimensão afetiva será entendida como um impulso original que justifica a tendência do ser humano de se organizar e viver em sociedade. Tal análise busca estabelecer as continuidades e rupturas entre os autores, bem como investigar as influências que a filosofia de Hume exerce sobre a proposta rawlsiana
