A MATERIALIDADE DO LIVRO E A PRODUÇÃO COLETIVA DA PRIMEIRA EDIÇÃO DE CEM ANOS DE SOLIDÃO (1967)

Abstract

This article aims to reflect on the materiality and publication of books in light of their contribution to historiographical studies of culture. To this end, the first edition of the book One Hundred Years of Solitude (1967), written by Gabriel García Márquez and published by Editora Sudamericana, in Buenos Aires, was taken as a source. The novel has a wide critical fortune, however, there are gaps in the investigation into its publication in book format and the graphic elements that compose it. In this sense, the aim is to analyze the presence of such elements in the production of the book in question, as well as to highlight the work of the various subjects who made it possible for García Márquez's typing to become the book published in 1967. Thus, this analysis is qualitative in nature. , through bibliographic and documentary research. Michel Foucault (2009), Roger Chartier (2002 and 2014), Donald Mckenzie (2018) are used as theoretical support.Este artigo visa refletir sobre a materialidade e a publicação dos livros em face da sua contribuição para os estudos historiográficos da cultura. Para tanto, tomou-se como fonte a primeira edição do livro Cem anos de solidão (1967), escrito por Gabriel García Márquez e publicado pela Editora Sudamericana, em Buenos Aires. O romance possui uma ampla fortuna crítica, contudo, há lacunas na investigação sobre sua publicação em formato de livro e dos elementos gráficos que o compõem. Neste sentido, o intuito é analisar a presença tais elementos na produção do livro em questão, bem como evidenciar o trabalho dos diversos sujeitos que possibilitaram que o datiloscrito de García Márquez se transformasse no livro publicado em 1967. Assim, esta análise é de caráter qualitativo, mediante pesquisa bibliográfica e documental. Como aporte teórico são utilizados Michel Foucault (2009), Roger Chartier (2002 e 2014), Donald Mckenzie (2018)
