O SILENCIAMENTO DAS MULHERES POLICIAIS: O assédio sexual na caserna

Abstract

This article seeks to investigate sexual harassment in the Brazilian Military Police. Quantitative and qualitative research was used as a method, analyzing requests made via the Access to Information Law to the Military Police Ombudsman's Offices in all Brazilian states, in order to identify ways of tackling this structural problem, as well as to investigate to what extent the underreporting of records of this criminal practice affects the safety of female military police officers and, consequently, the selective action of the Military Justice system, reflecting sociologically on power relations in the light of Michael Foucault's theory. Finally, the article aims to promote reflection in order to identify ways in which the Military Police can combat and prevent sexual harassment within the barracks.Este artigo busca investigar o assédio sexual nas Polícias Militares brasileiras. Como método, foi utilizada a pesquisa quanti-qualitativa, com a análise de pedidos formulados via Lei de Acesso à Informação às Ouvidorias das Polícias Militares de todas as Unidades da Federação do Brasil, a fim de identificar as formas de enfrentamento a esse problema estrutural, bem como investigar em que medida a subnotificação dos registros desta prática delitiva afeta a segurança das mulheres policiais militares e, consequentemente, a seletividade de atuação da Justiça Militar, refletindo sociologicamente sobre as relações de poder, à luz da teoria de Michael Foucault. Por último, o artigo tem o objetivo de promover a reflexão no sentido de identificar formas de atuação das Polícias Militares no combate e na prevenção do assédio sexual dentro das casernas
