A CONTRIBUIÇÃO DO ESTÁGIO EM SAÚDE MENTAL NO PROCESSO FORMATIVO DE ASSISTENTES SOCIAIS: UM RELATO DE EXPERIÊNCIA

Abstract

This article analyzes two fields of supervised curricular internship in the area of Mental Health in the undergraduate course in Social Work at the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP) and seeks to understand the contributions that such experience makes possible for the social worker's professional training process, it also reflects about the limits and possibilities of professional performance in mental health services. The internships were carried out in two Psychosocial Care Centers (CAPS) in the Baixada Santista Metropolitan Region between June/2022 and December/2023. The complexity of mental health work was highlighted, where it presents itself as an expression of the complex social issue in the capitalist system, in addition to theissues that permeate mental health policy, such as the lack of funding that affects the structures and intervention of CAPS and the extensive limits and existing possibilities that permeate the implementation of mental health policy.O presente artigo analisa dois campos de estágio curricular supervisionado na área da Saúde Mental no curso de graduação emServiço Social da Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP) e busca compreender as contribuições que tal experiência possibilita para o processo de formação profissional do assistente social, também reflete sobre os limites e possibilidades da atuação profissional nos serviços de saúde mental. Os estágios foram realizados em dois Centros de Atenção Psicossocial (CAPS) na Região Metropolitana da Baixada Santista nos períodos entre junho/2022 e dezembro/2023. Foi evidenciado a complexidade da atuação na saúde mental, onde a mesma se apresenta como expressão da complexa questão social nosistema capitalista, além das questões que atravessam a política de saúde mental como a falta de financiamento que afeta as estruturas e intervenção dos CAPS e os extensos limites e possibilidades existentes que permeiam a efetivação da política de saúde mental
