A ESTRUTURAÇÃO DO PENSAMENTO GEOGRÁFICO E A CRÍTICA À TEORIA DO VALOR-TRABALHO

Abstract

O The development of labor value theory of geographical space represents the insertion of Brazilian geographers in the field of social and political criticism. However, when analyzing geographical space from the perspective of work it appears that such theory did not give due relevance to the cooperative aspect of social work and, above all, failed to consider other essential aspects of the production of space: cultural and scientific exchanges. Likewise, the use of “exploitation theory” applied to the understanding of the nature of the international division of labor ended up condemning the countries exporting capital and capital at interest, providing a fatalistic and mechanistic analytical matrix to work on the systemic relations between nations, since it engages cooperation on an international scale and the scrutiny of new paths to the development of nations that do not have domestic savings. Keywords: Value theory; Labor value, International Division of Labor, Geographic space.O desenvolvimento da teoria do valor-trabalho do espaço geográfico representou a inserção dos geógrafos brasileiros no campo da crítica social e política. Contudo, ao analisar o espaço geográfico pela ótica do trabalho verifica-se que essa teoria deixou de atribuir a relevância devida ao aspecto cooperativo que o trabalho social contém e, sobretudo, deixou de considerar outros aspectos essenciais da produção do espaço: caso das trocas culturais e científicas. Da mesma forma, o uso da “teoria da exploração” aplicado ao entendimento da natureza da divisão internacional do trabalho, acabou condenando os países exportadores de capital e o capital a juros, fornecendo uma matriz analítica fatalista e mecanicista para trabalhar as relações sistêmicas entre as nações, uma vez que engessa a cooperação à escala internacional e o perscrutar de novos caminhos ao desenvolvimento das nações que não dispõe de poupança doméstica.
