Changes in parental attitudes as factors influencing the effectiveness of parent training for developmental disorders

Abstract

本研究は，発達障害の子どもをもつ親を対象としたペアレント・トレーニングのプログラム参加によって育児・養育態度にどのような変化が見られるかを検討することを目的とした。2011年から2022年にプログラムに参加した親60名のプログラム参加前後におけるFDT プロフィールのデータを用いて分析を行った。その結果として，プログラム参加前には期待過剰型，不安―介入型，不安―無気力型，受容型，プログラム参加後においては期待過剰型，悲観型，放任型，受容型の養育態度パターンが確認された。プログラム参加前後におけるパターンの変化について検討したところ，参加前における不安―無気力型の養育態度は参加後に変化が見られやすく，放任型へと変化しやすい傾向が示された。また，プログラムの参加終了（直後）の時点では，望ましい変化が見られない場合もあることから，ペアレント・トレーニングの実践においては，プログラム終了後にも，フォローアップ・セッションや個別支援等を実施することで支援を継続し，親の養育態度の変化について経過を観察していくことの重要性が示唆された。This study aimed to examine how parental attitudes change following participation in a parent training program targeted at parents of children with developmental disorders. Data from the FDT （Family Diagnostic Test） profiles were analyzed for 60 parents who participated in the program between 2011 and 2022, both before and after the intervention. The findings revealed distinct patterns of parental attitudes: pre-program patterns included over-expectation, anxiety-intervention, anxiety-helplessness, and acceptance types, while post-program patterns included over-expectation, pessimistic, permissive, and acceptance types. Analysis of changes in patterns before and after the program indicated that the anxiety-helplessness type was more likely to transition, often shifting to the permissive type. Additionally, the study found that desirable changes in parental attitudes were not always observed immediately after program completion. These results suggest that follow-up sessions and individualized support after the program’s conclusion are essential for sustaining progress and monitoring long-term changes in parental attitudes.departmental bulletin pape
