Strategic analysis of the company GymBeam Czech s.r.o.

Abstract

The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is to conduct a comprehensive strategic analysis of GymBeam Czech s.r.o. within the context of the Czech sports nutrition market and to formulate strategic recommendations based on the findings. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical section outlines key concepts, analytical tools, and methodological approaches. In the practical part, these tools are applied to the selected company and its main competitors. The external environment is examined using the PESTLE framework, while the competitive environment is assessed through Porter’s Five Forces model and the strategic group map. The company’s internal resources are evaluated using financial analysis, the VRIO framework, and portfolio analysis. The findings are integrated in a synthesis chapter that explores the relationships between the identified factors. The thesis concludes with strategic recommendations for the company’s future development.Cílem této bakalářské práce je provést komplexní strategickou analýzu společnosti GymBeam Czech s.r.o. v kontextu trhu sportovní výživy České republiky a na základě výsledků formulovat strategická doporučení pro firmu. Práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a část praktickou. V teoretické části jsou popsány zásadní pojmy, nástroje a metodika. V části praktické jsou nástroje aplikovány na konkrétní firmu a její konkurenty. Vnější okolí je zkoumáno pomocí PESTLE, vnitřní okolí pomocí Porterova modelu pěti sil a mapy konkurenčních skupin. Vnitřní faktory firmy, jako jsou zdroje a schopnosti, jsou analyzovány pomocí finanční analýzy, VRIO a analýzy portfolia. Poznatky práce posléze propojuje syntéza, která zkoumá vazby mezi jednotlivými faktory. Závěrem práce jsou stanovena strategická doporučení
