Summary Recently, we were able to show that satellite DNA amplification (satDNA-AMP) is present in advanced prostate cancer. A chromosome microarray study provided first evidence that satDNA-AMP appears to be largely independent of centromere-near/pericentric euchromatic copy number alterations.
