Development of Canva-Based Comic Learning Media on Temperature, Heat and Expansion Material

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan media pembelajaran komik yang valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk topik Suhu, Kalor, dan Pemuaian. Menggunakan model pengembangan ASSURE dalam kerangka Penelitian dan Pengembangan (R&D), komik ini dibuat dengan aplikasi Canva. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa komik memiliki kevalidan tinggi: 3,41 untuk aspek kemediaan (ahli desain media) dan 3,72 untuk aspek konten materi (ahli materi). Dari sisi kepraktisan, uji coba kelas riil menunjukkan angka 92,18 (kategori sangat baik) berdasarkan respons siswa. Sementara itu, keefektifan komik terbukti dari rata-rata hasil belajar kelas 84,21, melampaui Kriteria Ketuntasan Tujuan Pembelajaran (KKTP) 75, serta nilai n-gain 0,779 yang termasuk dalam kategori tinggi. Kesimpulannya, media pembelajaran komik ini berhasil dikembangkan sebagai alat bantu belajar yang terkendali dan efektifThis research aimed to develop a comic-based learning media that is valid, practical, and effective for the topic of Temperature, Heat, and Expansion. Utilizing the ASSURE development model within a Research and Development (R&D) framework, the comic was created using the Canva application. The results indicate a high validity for the comic: 3.41 for the media aspect (according to media design experts) and 3.72 for the material content aspect (according to material experts). In terms of practicality, real-class trials showed a score of 92.18 (categorized as very good) based on student responses. Meanwhile, the effectiveness of the comic was evident from the average class learning outcomes of 84.21, surpassing the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKTP) of 75, and an n-gain score of 0.779, which falls into the high category. In conclusion, this comic-based learning media was successfully developed as a controlled and effective learning tool
