Abstract

The purpose of this review article is to compare the Customs regimes of two nations that are very important for the economy of Latin America; Colombia and Panama, whit the objective of identifying the differences and similarities between the regulations of each country; where research and analysis will be carried out that will be of great importance for a possible Free Trade Agreement in the future; for this reason, the scientific method for the development of this study represents the principles of the research that makes possible the collection of the most important contributions on the subject since 2018 from research; therefore, a bibliographic review of scientific articles will be visualized in the development of the same, which benefits and opportunities will be able to take full advantage, due to fact that at this moment there are entrepreneurs who are unaware of the Colombia and Panama legislation regarding foreign trade issues; finally, it is concluded that both countries have more differences that similarities in terms of the customs regime, since, Panama can be considered a more commercial country and attracts more industry and foreign investment due to the advantage of its strategic location.La finalidad del presente artículo de revisión es comparar los regímenes aduaneros de dos naciones que son muy importantes para la economía de Latinoamérica; Colombia y Panamá, con el objetivo de identificar las diferencias y semejanzas entre la normatividad de cada país; en donde se realizará una investigación y análisis que será de gran importancia para un posible Tratado de Libre Comercio en un futuro; por este motivo, el método científico para el desarrollo del presente estudio representa los principios de la investigación que posibilita la recolección de los aportes más importantes sobre el tema desde el año 2018 a partir de investigaciones; por ende, se desarrollará una revisión bibliográfica de artículos científicos teniendo en cuenta bases de datos nacionales e internacionales. Además, se visualizará en el desarrollo de la misma, que beneficios y oportunidades se podrán aprovechar al máximo, debido que en este momento existen empresarios que desconocen la legislación colombiana y panameña en cuanto a temas de comercio exterior; por último, se concluye que ambos países tienen más diferencias que semejanzas en cuanto al régimen aduanero, puesto que, Panamá se puede considerar que es un país más comercial y atrae más industria e inversión extranjera por la ventaja de su ubicación estratégic
