Effect of the drug Pentoxifylline on Artemia salina

Abstract

The article reflects the results of the study of the effect of the drug “Pentoxifylline” on Artemia salina under normal and stress conditions. The study revealed that “Pentoxifylline” promotes the survival of Artemia salina under hypoxia conditions. The results obtained are probably due to the ability of hemocyanins to enhance oxygen transport.В статье отражены результаты исследования действия лекарственного препарата «Пентоксифиллин» на Artemia salina в нормальных и стрессовых условиях. В результате исследования было выявлено, что «Пентоксифиллин» способвствует выживанию Artemia salina в условиях гипоксии. Полученные результаты, вероятно, обусловлены способностью гемоцианинов к усилению транспорта кислорода
