Abstract

First published in 2003 under the title Continue Fighting Corruption: Experiences and Tasks of Churches and Development Agencies (Berne: Bread for All). This work was later revised and republished in 2010 as Corruption-free churches are possible: experiences, values, solutions (ISBN 9782940428076). A further edition followed in 2017 under the title Corruption-free religions are possible (ISBN 9782889314225).Trust in institutions is waning across the globe, whether in governments, the judiciary, business, the media, or civil society - including religious and educational bodies. A key factor is the persistent prevalence of corruption within many institutions. Restoring trust demands a steadfast commitment to integrity, transparency, responsibility, and accountability.
