The ability of expression formed by “Koma Junior High School Education" - The connection between writing and singing-

Abstract

From the 1964 to the 1971 school year, Koma Junior High School in Yamanashi Prefecture developed an education program that cultivated the “basics of science and art.” Chorus was considered as a study that “integrated” all subjects, and was actively pursued not only in music classes but also as a daily expressive activity. Emphasis was also placed on solo singing, which pursues individual expression, and students grew themselves in a group through the study of singing. Along with singing, writing was also positioned as an artistic activity to express oneself, and daily life, subject learning, and class activities were recorded in writing, and the state of the individual and the group was considered. As an artistic activity in which writing and singing are integrated, it shows the fact that it has promoted personal growth and organization of the group.departmental bulletin pape
