看護学生間の協同学習による自己学習機会の創出に向けた実践報告ーシミュレータモデルを用いた血圧測定技術の学習プログラムー

Abstract

Objective: This SimMaster Program Basic, an extra-curricular educational activity for sophomore nursing students had three objectives: firstly, to enhance the accuracy of blood pressure measurements, a fundamental skill among vital sign assessments; secondly, to create mechanisms that encourage the spontaneous generation of learning opportunities outside of class; and thirdly, to enrich university life through cross-grade interactions. Methods: Eleven sophomore nursing students applied to participate in this program. The program, conducted over six sessions, was divided into three components: a "Knowledge Program" focused on the principles of blood pressure measurement, a "Skills Program" centered on the use of simulator models, and a" Special Program" consisting of a lecture on clinical blood pressure measurement by practicing nurses. Additionally, a final test was administered to assess the students' knowledge, skills, and attitudes regarding blood pressure measurement. Results: Participating students deepened their knowledge of blood pressure measurement principles, reaffirmed their understanding and skills in conducting measurements, and gained numerous interactions from their involvement with one another. On the other hand, challenges such as the time constraints of extracurricular activities, the inadequate establishment of fundamental knowledge and skills, and the continuity of the program emerged as issues. Discussion: Through this program, students were encouraged to deepen their own understanding by teaching each other and to foster an attitude of proactive learning. It is necessary to support the use of learning resources that allow for repetitive study and to promote cooperative learning.departmental bulletin pape
