Panorama de distribuição dos cursos técnicos em enfermagem ofertados pela Rede Federal de Educação Profissional

Abstract

This article aims to describe the panorama of distribution in the Brazilian territory of technical courses in nursing offered by the Federal Network of Professional, Scientific and Technological Education. As for the method, it is a descriptive-exploratory study. It was found that 37 units offer the technical course in nursing, equivalent to 5.64% of the total, corresponding to 48 courses. There was an imbalance in the distribution of courses among the regions of the country. It is concluded that this training occupies a position of low visibility in the Network. A gap was perceived between the current panorama and the training intentions of the federal institutions, as well as the needs of some regions and the policies for training human resources in health.Este artigo objetiva descrever o panorama de distribuição no território brasileiro dos cursos técnicos em enfermagem ofertados pela Rede Federal de Educação Profissional, Científica e Tecnológica. Quanto ao método, trata-se de um estudo descritivo-exploratório. Constatou-se que 37 unidades ofertam o curso técnico em enfermagem, equivalente a 5,64% do total, correspondendo a 48 cursos. Observou-se um desequilíbrio de distribuição dos cursos entre as regiões do país. Conclui-se que esta formação ocupa uma posição de baixa visibilidade dentro da Rede. Percebeu-se um distanciamento entre o panorama atual e as intenções educativas das instituições federais, bem como das necessidades de algumas regiões, e das políticas de formação de recursos humanos em saúde
