The Role of General Education School Principals in The Digitalization of Education

Abstract

This article addresses the implementation of digital technologies in school education by general education school principals. Digital technologies can be utilized in school education in three areas: 1. Management processes; 2. Educational and upbringing matters; 3. Teaching (lesson) process. In management, it is crucial for school principals to use information systems, platforms, document management systems, as well as modern technologies (such as cloud technologies, artificial intelligence systems, and others). They should develop plans for integrating these technologies into school education and convey to staff members the importance of these technologies and the potential for effective work based on them. The effective use of digital technologies in educational and organizational matters is discussed, including organizing video conferences, facilitating collaborative work, conducting surveys through various platforms, and utilizing social networks productively for parent cooperation. The text highlights the use of digital platforms, quiz systems, and learning management systems in the teaching process. Additionally, international experience in the application of digital technologies in educational institutions is analyzed.&nbsp
