Analisis proses dan kendala transportasi produk hortikultura di Indonesia

Abstract

oai:ojs2.journal-iasssf.com:article/350Introduction: Horticultural plants or vegetable and fruit plants grown for human consumption have an important role in meeting daily food and nutritional needs. The development of horticultural crops in Indonesia has experienced quite significant growth in the last few decades. This is related to improved agricultural techniques, superior varieties, and a better understanding of horticultural crop cultivation. In this regard, in order to achieve global food security and support sustainable agriculture, it is important for a country or region to have a good transportation system and adequate logistics infrastructure. This article aims to observe and analyze the process of distribution and transportation of horticultural products in Indonesia. Apart from that, this article will also present an analysis of the obstacles and potential that may arise in the transportation process of these horticultural products. Method: This article uses the literature review method to achieve its objectives. Scopus will be the main reference and literature source used in answering assignment questions. Conslusion: The results show that Indonesia faces several obstacles to the transportation of horticultural products such as inadequate infrastructure, limited suitable vehicles, poor road conditions, regulations and bureaucracy, warehousing problems, food contamination and safety, climate change and natural disasters, seasonal changes in production, costs high transport, limitations of refrigeration and climate control
