Representações religiosas e literárias do mito de Ísis e Osíris

Abstract

Among the many stories of ancient Egyptian mythology, the best known is certainly the Myth of Isis and Osiris, which has been repeated countless times over the time. It is precisely this myth that this article focuses on, which aims to study some of its representations in two different contexts and historical moments. Therefore, seeking to understand how the same narrative appears in different cultures and contexts, we will verify how the myth of Isis and Osiris appears in the funerary art of the Ancient Egypt; and as it appears in two contemporary Brazilian literary works. Having carried out this verification, we will seek to establish approximations and distances, in order to understand which characteristics of the myth are maintained or has changed over time, and can be considered humanly universal characteristics, that is shared by all humanity, and not exclusively by a certain group and/or culture.Dentre as muitas histórias da mitologia egípcia antiga, a mais conhecida é certamente o Mito de Ísis e Osíris, que tem sido repetido incontáveis vezes ao longo do tempo. É justamente sobre esse mito que se debruça o presente artigo, que tem como objetivo estudar algumas de suas representações em dois diferentes contextos e momentos históricos. Assim sendo, procurando compreender como uma mesma narrativa aparece em diferentes culturas e contextos, verificaremos como o mito de Ísis e Osíris aparece na arte funerária do Antigo Egito e como aparece em duas obras literárias brasileiras contemporâneas. Tendo sido feita essa verificação, procuraremos estabelecer aproximações e distanciamentos, a fim de entendermos quais características do mito se mantém ou se transformam ao longo do tempo, podendo ser consideradas características humanamente universais, ou seja, compartilhadas por toda humanidade, e não exclusivamente por um determinado grupo e/ou cultura
