Percepcija medijske publike o reality emisijama

Abstract

Ovim znanstvenim radom istražuje se gledateljska percepcija reality emisija koje čine dio popularne kulture spektakla koja oblikuje društvenu, političku, kulturnu i ekonomsku stvarnost te utječe na način na koji se ponašamo, razmišljamo i oblikujemo naš identitet. Za potrebe rada konstruirana je online anketa provedena na 163 ispitanika te je rezultatima utvrđeno da ne postoji razlika u preferenciji gledanja reality programa s obzirom na dob, dok je suprotno tomu uočena preferencija s obzirom na spol. Istraživanje je pokazalo i da ispitanici smatraju da emisije često prikazuju sukobe između natjecatelja kako bi postigle veću gledanost te da sve dobne skupine koje su sudjelovale u ovom istraživanju sumnjaju u vjerodostojnost sadržaja tih emisija.The purpose of this work is to explore what kind of perception media viewers have about reality television shows, as a part of the popular culture of spectacle which shapes social, political, cultural and economic reality and influences the way we behave, think and shape our identity. For the purpose of this study we constructed an online survey that was taken by 163 participants. The results have shown that there is no age based difference when it came to preference for watching reality TV but that there is difference based on gender. The results also showed that participants believe that shows often stage feuds between contestants in order to raise the viewership and that all age groups have same amount of doubt when it comes to believability of reality
