Abstract
Mediji su od svojih začetaka korišteni u političke, odnosno ratne svrhe, a za vrijeme Svjetskih ratova taj je razvoj postao osobito značajan. Razvojem masovnih i dolaskom novih medija, otvorile su se nove i suptilnije mogućnosti utjecaja – propagandni sadržaj prerastao je svoj osnovni koncept prijenosa poruka i postao sastavni dio ratovanja. Zabavni mediji su uključeni u proces psihološke neutralizacije pojma terorizma i rata što u najekstremnijim primjerima može dovesti do samovoljnog uključivanja u rat bez stvarnog znanja o mogućim posljedicama. Novi mediji postali su jedan od glavnih alata terorističkih skupina s ciljem ratne mobilizacije, pri čemu se koriste specifične kognitivne tehnike uz pažljivo segmentiranje i ciljanje određene publike. Ovaj će se rad baviti razvojem iskorištavanja masovnih medija u vojne svrhe, strategijom kreiranja takvog sadržaja te razvojem terorizma putem novih medija. Osim stjecanja novog oblika vojne snage, razvoj medija omogućio je i potpuno novi oblik hladnog ratovanja te stvorio dugoročan utjecaj na socijalni aspekt ljudske percepcije nasilja, odnosno neutralizaciju pojma terorizma i rata te stvarnih motiva i razloga iza njih.The nature of the media plays a key role in shaping general opinion, making them a major tool of politics. From its beginnings, the media have been used for political or war purposes, and they reached their peak during the World Wars. With the development of new media, advanced and more subtle possibilities of influence were conceived - propaganda content outgrew its basic concept of transmitting messages and became a literal way of warfare. Entertainment media are involved in the process of psychological neutralization of the notion of terrorism and war, which in the most extreme examples can lead to arbitrary involvement in war without real knowledge of the possible consequences. New media have become one of the main tools of terrorist groups with the aim of war mobilization, using specific cognitive techniques with careful segmentation and targeting of a specific audience. This paper will deal with the development of the use of the media for military purposes, the strategy of creating such content and the development of terrorism through new media. In addition to acquiring a new form of military force, the development of the media enabled a completely new form of cold warfare and created a long-term impact on the social aspect of human perception of violence, ie neutralization of terrorism and war and real motives and reasons behind them
