Abstract
Održivi razvoj se odnosi na pristup razvoju koji zadovoljava potrebe sadašnjih generacija bez ugrožavanja boljitka budućih generacija da zadovolje vlastite potrebe. Koncept održivog razvoja uključuje ravnotežu između ekonomske, društvene i ekološke dimenzije, poznate kao "trostruki donji red". Ova ravnoteža ima za cilj osigurati dugoročnu stabilnost, pravdu i očuvanje prirodnih resursa. Održivi razvoj u modnoj industriji postaje jedan od najvažnijih izazova današnjice s obzirom na rastuću svijest o ekološkim i društvenim pitanjima i stupnju zagađenja kojem ta industrija pridonosi. Modna industrija oduvijek ima značajan negativniji utjecaj na okoliš i društvo, uključujući pitanja poput onečišćenja vode, iskorištavanja radne snage, prekomjerne potrošnje resursa i generiranja velike količine otpada. Održivi razvoj u modnoj industriji danas ima za cilj minimiziranje negativnih utjecaja na okoliš i društvo, uz istovremeno poticanje inovacija i pozitivnih promjena. Odnos potrošača prema održivoj modi u posljednjih nekoliko godina pokazuje tendenciju iznimnog rasta. S povećanom sviješću o ekološkim i društvenim problemima povezanim s modnom industrijom, potrošači postaju sve više zainteresirani za održive alternative a modni brandovi sve više prate taj trend kako bi zadržali postojeće i privukli nove potrošače.Sustainable development refers to an approach to development that meets the needs of current generations without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. The concept of sustainable development includes a balance between the economic, social and environmental dimensions, known as the "triple bottom line". This balance aims to ensure long-term stability, justice and conservation of natural resources. Sustainable development in the fashion industry is becoming an increasingly important challenge given the growing awareness of environmental and social issues. The fashion industry has negatively had a significant impact on the environment and society, including issues such as water pollution, labor exploitation, excessive resource consumption and the generation of large amounts of waste. Sustainable development in the fashion industry aims to minimize negative impacts on the environment and society, while at the same time encouraging innovation and positive change. The attitude of consumers towards sustainable fashion shows a rapid growing tendency in the last few years. With increased awareness of environmental and social issues associated with the fashion industry, consumers are becoming increasingly interested in sustainable alternatives and due to that trend fashion brands increasingly follow this trend in order to retain existing consumerd and attract new ones
