Educação bilíngue de surdos: Instrumento de Avaliação da Expressão em Língua Brasileira de Sinais

Abstract

The development of deaf people is directly linked to their mastery of Brazilian Sign Language, and in many cases it is only at school that the acquisition of this language begins. Linguistic knowledge that enables the effective assessment of student’s expression in Libras to plan the educational paths to be followed is essential to teaching work. Therefore, the objective of this research is to understand the perceptions of a Bilingual Basic Education Teacher about an Instrument for Assessment of Expression in Sign Language: Libras, the NarVaL-Libras/Prod, through her evaluation of narratives in Libras. It is characterized as an exploratory case study, in which the data was analyzed qualitatively. The instrument used was created by researchers from the University of Barcelona and the Federal University of São Carlos and contributes to an effective evaluation of narratives in Libras, provoking a broader understanding of the use of the language at school, in the teaching of educators and in the development of students. The results point to reflections on the use of the instrument in teaching work and its potential formative character in the linguistic aspects of Libras.O desenvolvimento dos sujeitos surdos está diretamente ligado ao seu domínio da Língua Brasileira de Sinais, e em muitos casos é apenas na escola que a aquisição dessa língua se inicia. É essencial ao trabalho docente um conhecimento linguístico que possibilite a avaliação efetiva da expressão em Libras dos estudantes para planejamento dos caminhos educacionais a serem seguidos. Dessa forma, o objetivo desta pesquisa é entender as percepções de uma Professora Bilíngue da educação básica sobre um Instrumento de Avaliação da Expressão em Língua de Sinais: Libras, o NarVaL-Libras/Prod, por meio de sua avaliação sobre narrativas em Libras. Se caracteriza enquanto um estudo de caso de caráter exploratório, em que os dados foram analisados de forma qualitativa. O instrumento utilizado foi criado por pesquisadores da Universidade de Barcelona e da Universidade Federal de São Carlos e contribui com uma avaliação eficaz das narrativas em Libras, provocando uma compreensão mais ampla sobre o uso da língua na escola, no ensino dos educadores e no desenvolvimento dos estudantes. Os resultados apontam reflexões sobre o uso do instrumento no trabalho docente e seu potencial caráter formativo nos aspectos linguísticos da Libras.&nbsp
