Abstract

[Abstract] Microscopic particles were discovered in the period from the ending times of the 19th century to the beginning times of the 20th century are the very important moments for the birth of the quantum theory. The notion of quantum was born in black-body radiation and applied to the microscopic phenomena. Since, the notion of the quantum had been polished historically during the process of the applications to microscopic particles phenomena. We will consider the research process of the cathode rays first. This lead to the discoveries of the various radio rays. Furthermore, these researches lead to the revolutionary notion of the self-splitting atom. This is the history of the birth of the notion of the modern atom. This article shows this thought and the historical research process of the origin of the modern physics material view and the basis for the worldpicture
