Stitches into the future: the Museo del Traje as a pattern for social and sustainable desing

Abstract

Museums, like the rest of society, are theoretically undergoing a process of transformation towards sustainability. The promotion of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) in these organizations is encouraging their social focus. This research has focused on the case of the Museo del Traje Centro de Investigación del Patrimonio Etnológico. The preliminary study carried out in this research analyses the relationship of the face-to-face activities organised by the Museum and the relationship of these activities with the SDGs and the dimensions of sustainability proposed by the Ibermuseos Programme.Desde un plano teórico, los museos, al igual que resto de la sociedad, están llevado a cabo un proceso de transformación hacia la sostenibilidad. El impulso de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS) en estas organizaciones está fomentando el enfoque social de las mismas. Esta investigación se ha centrado en el caso del Museo del Traje Centro de Investigación del Patrimonio Etnológico.
