Abstract
The Shepherd of Guadaloupe was Zane Grey’s twenty-third Western romance novel. Grey wrote it in mid-1928 and it was serialized in Collier’s magazine that fall. With the publication of the book in 1930, Harper and Brothers celebrated 20 years of publishing Zane Grey and included a special anniversary band on the book.
