Abstract

DEVELOPING THE KYAI STORY MEDIA TO TEACH READINGCOMPREHENSIONAT THE EIGHT GRADE OF MTsWALI SONGO SUKAJADI CENTRE LAMPUNGIN ACADEMIC YEAR 2020/2021ABSTRACTBy:NANDA BAYU PERDANANPM. 181240019The aim of this research is to develop of kyai story for readingcomprehension activityat the eight grade of MTs Wali Songo Sukajadi CentreLampung in academic year 2020/2021.Based on the experience?s researcher whenconducted at MTs Walisongo Sukajadi Center Lampung,the researcher could beassumted that Teaching materials are very influential on the teaching and learningprocess in the classroom.Therefore teaching materials are needed that canfacilitate students in learningone of which is English Students? Worksheet.English Students? Worksheet are sheets which contain problems andthere are alsopractice questions that must be done by students with teacher guidance forget asubject matter concept.The design of this research wasresearchand development or research (R &D). The subjects of the trial of kyai story for reading comprehension activity at theeighth grade of MTs Wali Songo Sukajadi in Academic Year 2020/2021. The datacollected were classified into three: (1) data collected from the needs survey, (2)the data collected from the validation process, and (3) the data gathered during thetry-out process. Data in the form of suggestions and criticism from experts orstudents are analyzed with a qualitative approach.Based on the data findings and discussion, the researcher draws aconclusion that the development of learning media is suitable for use in thelearning process. Based on the results of the validation that has been carried outby the material expert, namely the teacher of MTs Wali Songo Sukajadi, it can beseen that the validation of the material expert obtained an average scoreof 88.33 % with the criteria "very feasible". And based on the results of thevalidation has been done by expert media, it can be seen the average valueof 4,71 or 93,49 % with the criteria of "very decent". So it can be concluded thatthe development of learning media is suitable for use in the learning process.Keywords: Reading Comprehension &Kyai Stor
