A sociology of religion study on popular religiosity: The case of Dortyol

Abstract

Yüksek Lisans TeziHer toplumun tarihsel, ekonomik, kültürel deneyimler neticesinde kendine has bir dindarlık tarzı oluşmaktadır. Bu bağlamda sahip olduğu inanç ve uygulamalar o toplumun halk dindarlığı görümünü meydana getirir. Halk dindarlığı hem geleneksel hem de modern toplumlarda hayatiyetini devam ettirmektedir. Bu çalışmada Dörtyol'da yaşayan halk inançlarının, uygulamalarının, bu uygulamalara karşı tutum ve düşüncelerin öğrenilmesi hedeflenmiştir. Bu amaçla 1 Şubat 2020- 30 Haziran 2020 arasında 18-68 yaş aralığında 50 katılımcı ile 19 sorudan oluşan derinlemesine mülakat tekniği ve literatür taraması yapılarak "Halk dindarlığı üzerine bir Din Sosyolojisi incelemesi: Dörtyol örneği" başlığı altında, Dörtyol örneği üzerinden kuramsal ve uygulamalı olarak iki alanda ele alınıp incelenmiştir. Araştırma sonunda Dörtyol'da halk dindarlığının canlılığını koruduğu tespit edilmiştir.A unique religiosity style exists in every society as a result of the historical, economic and cultural experiences of the society. In this context, the beliefs and practices of the society constitute the popular view about its religiosity. Popular religiosity continues to exist in both traditional and modern societies. In this study, it is aimed to learn the practices of beliefs of the people living in Dortyol. The study also aimed to learn the attitudes and thoughts towards these practices. For this purpose, between February 1st and June 30th, 2020, in-depth interviews consisting of 19 questions with 50 participants between the ages of 18-68 as well as a practical and theoretical literature review under the heading, "A Sociology of Religion Study on Popular Religiosity: The case of Dortyol" we are conducted. At the end of the research, it was determined that popular religiosity remains alive in Dortyol
