De olvidos y ausencias

Abstract

With the objective of rescuing and making visible the work of important figures of Puerto Rican art, the Art Gallery of the Universidad del Sagrado Corazón presents the exhibition Luis Muñoz Lee: presencia en la ausencia [Luis Muñoz Lee: presence in absence]. For this artist, painting was a space for expansion, where he could escape from the rigor of his profession as a journalist, entering subjective spaces, without leaving the control that architectural drawing demands. His personality and his modern profile, both being from the Caribbean and, in particular, from San Juan, are evident in this exhibition, curated by Dr. Teresa Tió.En un impulso de rescatar y visibilizar la obra de importantes figuras del arte puertorriqueño, la Galería de Arte de la Universidad del Sagrado Corazón presenta la exhibición Luis Muñoz Lee: presencia en la ausencia. Para este artista, la pintura era un espacio de expansión en la que lograba escapar del rigor de su profesión como periodista, adentrándose en espacios subjetivos, sin dejar los controles que el dibujo arquitectónico exige.
