UNA APROXIMACIÓN FILOSÓFICA AL CONCEPTO DE NATURALEZA

Abstract

This article is a philosophical elucidation about the concept of nature in relation to man. The question is not idle: is there something such as nature, or is it only a way of stringing together everything that is not man-made? Given that the ethical, political and instrumental dimension that will be adopted depends on the way in which this concept is constructed. The concept of life is also analyzed. It is concluded that the solutions for biosphere sustainability must be radical and that there is no need to depend on the ghost of our disappearance as a species to make definitive and long-term decisions.El presente artículo es una elucidación filosófica sobre el concepto de naturaleza en relación con el hombre. No es ociosa la pregunta: ¿Existe algo como la naturaleza, o es sólo un modo de concatenar todo aquello que no ha sido hecho por el hombre? Dado que, cómo se construya dicho concepto, será la dimensión ética, política e instrumental que se adopte. Se analiza también el concepto de la vida. Se concluye que las soluciones para la sustentabilidad de la biósfera deben ser radicales y no se necesita llegar a depender del fantasma de nuestra desaparición como especie para tomar decisiones definitivas y de largo plazo
