PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN YANG BERORIENTASI LITERASI NUMERASI BERBASIS ANDROID PADA MATERI STATISTIKA DI SMP

Abstract

In this study, researchers want to create and develop a learning media that will be useful in student teaching and learning activities. The ability that will be improved by researchers is Numeracy Literacy. The media that will be developed is Android-based media. Learning media is one of the most important learning resources (Kuswanto & Radiansah, 2018). The use of learning tools in a learning step in the classroom, especially to improve student achievement (Dewimarni dkk., 2022). Mathematical Numeracy Literacy plays a very important role in a person's life because it can make it easier for someone to understand the role or function of mathematics in their daily lives (Puspaningtyas & Ulfa, 2021). One of the branches of science that makes a nation successful and modern is the science that deals with data and/or numbers or better known as statistics (Silviani et al., 2021). Statistics has an important role in human life, statistics is widely used to predict phenomena that require conclusions based on data analysis (Jatisunda et al., 2020). This study aims to produce a valid, practical and effective android-based numeracy literacy-oriented learning media product on statistics material in junior high schools. The benefits of this study are to improve students' numeracy literacy skills in statistics material. The subjects in this study were students of class VIII of SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Malang. The results of this study indicate that the numeracy literacy skills of class VIII students have increased. Based on the results of the analysis of the effectiveness of learning media obtained from the pretest and posttest results, the results were quite effective with the n-gain criteria being moderate. As for the validity of the learning media, the results of validation from media experts and material experts were obtained. For the results of the media expert validation, the assessment was valid. As for the results of the material expert validation, the assessment was quite valid. For the results of practicality taken from the student response questionnaire, the assessment from students was very practical
