Whistleblowers have a very important role in exposing criminal acts of corruption in Indonesia. Unfortunately, until now whistleblowers still do not receive maximum protection, as evidenced by the fact that there are still cases of revenge against whistleblowers. The author conducted this research with primary, secondary and tertiary data which was processed using a normative juridical approach to explore the urgency of protecting whistleblowers in Indonesia so that in the future more members of government agencies will participate in exposing criminal acts of corruption in terms of their role as whistleblowers. As a result, the author found that legal elements related to legal protection for whistleblowers of criminal acts of corruption still have loopholes, thereby opening up the possibility of retaliation and must immediately become the focus of improvement by the government
