Abstract

Title: Case Study of Physiotherapy Treatment of a Patient with the Diagnosis of Gangrene of Lower Limbs. Aim: Summary of theoretical knowledge and processing of case study of a patient with the diagnosis of gangrene of lower limbs. Method: The thesis consists of two parts - theoretic and specific. The theoretic part of the thesis contains topics related to amputations, prothesis, diagnostic methods and physioterapeutical treatments used when dealing with this diagnosis. The specific part of the thesis contains a case study of a physiotherapeutical treatment of a patient after unilateral above-knee amputation with the diagnosis of gangrene of lower limbs including complex kinesiologic examination, plan of rehabilitation, description of the progress of therapy and evaluation of the effects of therapy. The case study was compiled during an internship at the inpatiet rehabilitation ward of the Central Military Hospital in Prague.
