Fantasy genre in Czech literature after 1990

Abstract

This thesis survey development of recently establishing genre - Fantasy - in last two decades. Thesis define Fantasy genre from literature theory point of view. It trace out feature attributes, narrative sequences and genre variants. Thesis describe historical genesis and its purposes as well as actual trends of this genre in framework of world literature. Following part is focused on expansion of Fantasy in context of Czech literature backround since 1990's. It is also focused on Czechoslovak fandom influence on Czech literary production. It contains analysis of factors effecting writer and reader cultivation such as contests, genre oriented magazines or recensions. Aquisition of this work is the digest of most considerable Czech authors inculding their published works and comprehensive overwiev of anthologies published in 1990-2007
