Effects of chromatic dispersion, Kerr nonlinearity and amplifier noise in long PSK optical fibre systems.

Abstract

The power penalty induced by dispersion, Kerr nonlinearity, attenuation and amplifier noise is numerically investigated for long 6000 km amplified PSK systems. We demonstrate that transmission is only possible in the normal dispersion domain.SCOPUS: ar.jinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishe
