Varastoinnin tehostaminen : Pakkaustarvikevarasto

Abstract

Opinnäytetyön lähtökohtana oli Kiilto Oy:n halu tehostaa Lempäälän toimipisteen pakkaamon pakkaustarvikkeiden varastointia. Pakkaamon varastonhallinta ja itse varastointi eivät olleet toiminnan sekä tuotevalikoiman kasvun ja muutosten johdosta enää ajan tasalla. Työn tavoitteena oli kartoittaa pakkaamon varastoinnin nykytila sekä tehostaa varastointia luomalla kehitysehdotukset nimikerekisterin, materiaalivirtojen ja layoutin sekä nimikesijoittelun parantamiseksi. Varastoinnin nykytilasta kerättiin tietoa havainnoimalla, tutkimalla yritykseltä saatuja ja yrityksen sisäisiä materiaaleja sekä haastattelemalla työntekijöitä. Nykytilaselvityksen avulla toiminnasta nostettiin esille selkeimmät ongelmakohdat, joiden kehittämisen pohjaksi työhön kirjoitettiin kirjallisuuskatsaus. Kirjallisuuskatsaus aiheet käsittelevät varastointia, tuotetiedon hallintaa, varaston layoutia ja materiaalivirtoja sekä nimikesijoittelua. Työn tuloksena luotiin ehdotukset nimikerekisteristä poistettavista ja sinne lisättävistä nimikkeistä, layoutmuutoksista kampanjatelineiden kokoamispaikan suhteen sekä materiaalivirtojen suoraviivaistamisesta uudella nimikesijoittelusuunnitelmalla. Suunnitelmassa nimikkeiden sijoittelun perusteena on käytetty nimikkeiden ryhmittelyä käyttökohteiden mukaan. Sijoittelun lisäksi nimikkeille luotiin kiinteät keräilypaikat sekä osoitejärjestelmä. Varastoinnin nykytilaselvityksen ja kehitysehdotusten pohjalta yrityksellä on annettu lähtökohdat ja perusteet pakkaustarvikkeiden varastoinnin tehostamiseksi. Käyttöönotto on itse yrityksestä kiinni.The thesis was based on Kiilto Oy’s need to enhance the warehousing of packaging materials in their packaging department in Lempäälä. The plan is based on grouping items by use. In addition to the item layout plan, fixed picking locations and location labeling were created. The information on the current state of the storage and the development proposals made give the company a starting point and basis to improve the packaging material storage.
