Arthrosporum, un genre de lichen nouveau pour le Québec

Abstract

L’arthrospore du peuplier (Arthrosporum populorum), un lichen crustacé, a été découvert au mont Saint-Hilaire (MRC de la Vallée-du-Richelieu). Il s’agit d’une espèce et d’un genre nouveau pour le Québec. Un spécimen, récolté en 1996, avait jusqu’alors été attribué à Bacidia schweinitzii. À la suite de recherches sur le terrain, la population a été redécouverte en 2013.A specimen of crustose lichen collected on Mont Saint-Hilaire (regional county municipality of La Vallée-du-Richelieu, Québec) in 1996 and initially identified as Bacidia schweinitzii, was recently reidentified as being the poplar dot lichen (Arthrosporum populorum).
