Abstract

This article provides an overview of different types of rights to\ud aid consideration of, and debate about, children and young\ud people’s rights in the context of paediatrics and child health. It\ud demonstrates how children’s rights may or may not differ from\ud adult rights and the implications for practice. It shows that\ud applying a children’s rights framework can be more helpful in\ud pursuing a public child health agenda than in reducing ethical\ud or legal conflicts when interacting with child patients and their\ud families
