The motivation of preschool children for art and graphic activities during the free games

Abstract

The Bachelor thesis deals with the motivation of preschool children to art and graphic activities; with what might motivate them to draw when playing games in the kindergarten. The theoretical part, which proceeds from the stated literature, is focused on the development of artistic expression and graphomotorics of preschool children. Attention is paid to the issue of motivation, but also to playing as a method of early childhood education and the role of a teacher in art-related games. The practical part of the thesis describes specific situations when children were motivated in creative ways. Reactions of individual children from a selected group on being motivated to focus on drawing are recorded and described. The practical part, therefore, includes suggestions on how to develop the drawing skills of preschool children
