This thesis deals with specific intent of biogas plant, which will be built by a company called agriKomp. Biogas plant will be used for anaerobic fermentation waste left over from the production of dog food. The first part describes the current status of biogas production in the Czech republic. It also deals with the formation of biogas and biogas technologies, where biogas is formed in the process. The second part discusses agriKomp's technology for liquid substrates. The third part of this thesis describes laboratory and methodology for the fermentation test. As a part of this thesis a specific fermentation test of dog food was carried out, with 85.81% organic dry matter out of the total content. The test lasted for 21 days and took place in a laboratory of agriKomp company. At the end of the test, the production of biogas was 0.414 m3N/kg in dry matter. The methane content was approximately 56%. The conclusion holds a description of evaluation of the test and recommendation that the substrate is suitable for use in biogas plants
